Journey Forward

In-Person & Online

The Journey Foward grief group support benefits those grieving a death by providing community, understanding, and shared coping strategies, which reduce isolation and foster emotional healing.

8 participants
12 sessions
90-minute sessions

What group support looks like:

Uses the text, “Understanding Your Grief” and the accompanying journal by Dr. Alan Wolfelt – supplies are provided at no charge.

Each session will begin with a very brief emotional self-awareness check-in and a grounding exercise, such as a breathing or body scan. We will then explore one of Dr. Wolfelt’s touchstones of grief through a short educational segment, leaving plenty of time for open sharing and discussion.

The group is limited to 8 participants and will be closed to new members after the first session or once full. The group is free to attend.

Participants will be invited to participate in some reflection exercises between sessions such as journaling or filling out a worksheet, but it isn’t expected.

Is this group right for you?

Group support isn’t for everyone. It’s for those who are ready and willing to communicate and share in a healthy way that benefits both themselves and others. To ensure this group is the right fit, a no-cost 60-minute Compatibility Call will be offered to help both the facilitator and potential attendees determine if this grief group is appropriate for them at this time.

Upcoming Groups:

Begins Wednesday, March 4, 2026
6:00-7:30pm.

October 2025 – Currently closed to new members.
